Overview:
Now that you've got this expensive SLR camera you of course want to just seize every opportunity to use it whether on land or underwater to take those photos of the moments and sights you want to cherish. There is that one problem though - water, sand and dirt always seem to get in the way in the great outdoors. These elements do not do well with any equipment and your expensive SLR is certainly no exception.
To be able to enjoy your camera and your photographic activity to the fullest wherever you go, Aquapac provides that added protection against these hated substances that can just about ruin your camera and all those beautiful photos as well as allow you to go beyond the once forbidden - to take photos underwater safely.
With this professionally tested and guaranteed 100% waterproof case you can actually maneuver the controls through the case and focus the lens protected by its hard lens housing. Who wants to risk having their expensive equipment fall overboard without being protected?
Makes a perfect gift for outdoor use.
Details:
You can take great photographs right through the hard lens tube (see below). Even underwater.
PLEASE NOTE: The hard lens is permanently attached to the case and cannot be removed.
The SLR Camera Case (code 455) is compatible with most SLR type cameras.
It'll float with your camera in it.
It's guaranteed submersible to 15 feet (5 metres).
The UV-stabilized TPU material won't be broken down or discoloured by sunlight.
It keeps out dust and sand too. They're a particular problem for cameras (just ask the repairman at your local camera store).
And all that for only £80.00 incl. VAT. Bargain!
Supplied with:
It comes with an adjustable and detachable shoulderstrap so you can hang it round your neck or shoulder.
It comes with a packet of 5 desiccant sachets. These will help absorb any condensation in the air inside the case. If you know you're going to be taking it somewhere particularly humid like Jacksonville or the jungle, you'd be well advised to buy a few extra packets.
It comes with our 3-year global warranty (see 'Buy with confidence' below).
How have you improved this case recently?
2008 sees us going '100% PVC-Free'. Our new material (TPU) offers a number of advantages:
It's softer and more malleable. Making it even easier to operate your camera controls through the material.
The case now comes with a hard lens tube to provide a rigid house for the lens and allow more professional photography.
It'll perform much better if you want to take it somewhere really cold. It'll still be soft and malleable at -40º and below.
It has a greater tensile strength, meaning it's even more difficult to tear or rip apart.
How big is the case?
The SLR Camera Case (code 455) fits most SLR cameras. To make sure you choose the right case check out our
Size Guide.
We do our best to keep our size guide up to date but of course manufacturers are bringing out new models all the time. If you know something we don't, please feel free to

What our customers say:
"My daughter was very pleased with the SLR case. I was very impressed with the service and efficient manner my order was handled. The lady who took my order was extremely pleasant and helpful."
Richard Clark, UK
What the Press say:
"I pre-tested the Aquapac SLR at home by inserting some paper in the bag, closing it and submerging the bag in the kitchen sink. No leaks. Still, I was nervous when I tried out the Aquapac with my own Prosumer Fujifilm camera in that Puerto Rican cove. But everything came out of the drink fine -- the camera and the photos."
Howard Wolinsky, Chicago Sun-Times

What our customers say:
"I recently used your large sized underwater digital camera bag with my Sony digital camera and shot some very cool video. I was very impressed! Thanks!!... I was very pleased with your product. After researching several other options your Aquapac underwater bag was the most economical for my budget (I am not a pro photographer therefore I don't care to spend thousands on camera equipment). I also found your product to work extremely well and received several inquiries while I was using it on my vacation."
Eric Falk, USA
What the Press say:
"Got down to balmy Key West and put the bags to use. Scary lowering a very expensive camera into the water or exposing it to water spray. NO problem though with the Aquapac bags. They worked great and are a much lower cost solution to paying hundreds or thousands for a custom scuba housing. The fish tried awful hard to soak my camcorder and digital camera with saltwater but they were NOT successful. Silly fish!"

Desiccant Sachets (pack of 5) - Code 905~~
In humid climates, moisture in the air inside the case can condense into water droplets. A sachet of desiccant will absorb any such moisture, keeping the contents completely dry. We strongly suggest its use with all Aquapac cases. Desiccant sachets are highly absorbent and environmentally-friendly.~Desiccant Sachets (pack of 5)|905|~588~2099~~
